Rash Of Vehicle Break-Ins Prompt Police Warning In Milford

Police are encouraging and urging local residents to lock their doors and take valuables inside at night following a series of thefts from cars in the area.

Investigators from the Milford Police Department are looking into a series of thefts from vehicles that were either left parked and unlocked overnight or had windows broken to gain access to valuable items. 

In a post on social media, officials said that "following a rash a vehicle break-ins around Milford, (the) Milford Police Department is reminding residents to lock your vehicles, take your valuables inside and report any suspicious activity." 

To help area residents avoid becoming victims, the Milford Police Department has issued a handful of tips: 

  • Always keep valuables out of sight or in the trunk;
  • Never leave valuables in unattended vehicles;
  • Always lock your vehicle, and;
  • Notify the police of any suspicious activity.
